(R. Oh my God! It's freezing outside!

Around 6 o’clock yesterday, something was urging me: Go to DNR! Just go to DNR ( a huge and beautiful bookstore). When I return home, I sometimes pop into DNR or DOST. (another bookstore) I love walking around the shelves and warm myself among the books recently published. I think one of the best places to go is a bookstore in which there are millions of books, that is variety of life stories and their energy, since the weather is really frosty :)

Well, a very freezing wind has been blowing for so long in politicians’ lives and finally it reached Ankara. Now, I’m on holiday and spend my time with this unbelievably cold weather and and my hands are being exposed to cold so much that they really need so much moisturizer to make them normal again :) It’s unbelievably cold outside! If you are proud of your sanity, you might not prefer to go outside.

Seriously?

Then, let’s be crazy at the moment and let’s forget about the huge malls and take a walk on some kind of popular streets nearby home. Let me give some examples for Ankara (The city I live in). If you can arrive at Kızılay easily, walk around Kızılay. If you live around Kavaklıdere, Esat or Ayrancı, Tunalı is expecting you right now. If you live around Çankaya, Yıldız, Oran, there is Turan Güneş. It’s another alternative. I was there a few days ago and I liked it. :)

Do not resist! Come on! Don’t tell that the cold weather kills. Do not tell me that I’m being ridiculous. Come on! Just get up, put some trainers on you, a polo neck will do. Put on the boots in which you feel warm the best. Put on your coat and zip it very tightly. If you do not have a hood, a beret will do well. If you have a knitted muffler, don’t be afraid. Put on your gloves. Do not forget it. You’ll need those! And now we’re ready. :) Okay then, do not forget the keys and let’s go. Please don’t complain while you’re heading towards downstairs.

When we go out of the building, the frost has already come into contact with your nose. If you forgot to take your beret, your ears are freezing right now. Do not give up! Go on! Walk slowly to the street.

Are you asking “why”?

To understand the real value of a cup of delicious hot chocolate.

To warm yourself with the melodies coming from the accordion played by the nice man who has just found himself a place in front of a shop window.

To feel the real warmth and energy coming from your significant other’s hands or arms if you’re walking hand in hand.

To buy a bunch of daffodils from the man on the corner of the street and to make your house smell more beautiful.

To see the chestnut seller on the street and appreciate him since he is doing his job just there for you.

To feel the warmth when you come back and get into the building.

To immediately sit in front of the radiator and watch outside when you get rid of your boots.

To be thankful that you’re inside, you have some place to keep warm.

To understand the value of a cup of hot tea and be thankful that you have it.

To appreciate that there are some people hugging you very warmly, maybe your wife, or girlfriend, your mom and dad, your sister or brother, or a dog, or a cat.

Shall I go on?

Enjoy your walk.

PS. Yesterday, I was asked whether I really talk with my EGO. Seriously, I do. For example, yesterday. I was walking on Tunalı Street and while I was walking past Paşabahçe store, three women got out and they did not see me since they were so busy with themselves and they were so slow and blocked my way. I waited for a short time but it was just too cold to wait for any reason. :) Finally they got out of my way and I went on walking. After walking for a few metres, I heard the voice!

“Come on! Look at those women! They thought as if they had been the center of the universe! You should have hit them and told off!”

I just responded very calmly:

“At least you’re not shouting anymore. You learned how to talk with a soft voice”

I went on walking with a weird smile on my face. :)
